Pipeline Flow Tape

The Health and Safety (Safety Signs & Signals) Regulations 1998 requires employers to mark visible pipes in the workplace which contain or transport dangerous substances.

BS1710 2014 identification of pipeline and services specifies the colours to be used for the idenification of hazardous substances - including conduits for electrical services and ventilation ducting.

Colour banding should be used at each side of a floor or wall penetration, and at each side of a valve or appliance. Flow markers should be used at either side of a change of direction and every 7-14m on a straight run.
